On April 10, South Korean media reported that Dell'Oro Group recently released its global market share ranking for 5G devices for the fourth quarter of 2019. The report shows that in the fourth quarter of 2019, the world's top five equipment manufacturers 5G communications equipment market share ranking is:
Huawei ranked first with a market share of 35.3%;
Ericsson ranks second with a market share of 23.8%;
Nokia was third with a market share of 20.3%;
Samsung ranked fourth with a market share of 10.4%;
ZTE ranked fifth with a market share of 10.2%.
South Korean media also listed the market share changes of the top five equipment vendors for the fourth quarter of 2018 to the fourth quarter of 2019, based on Dell'Oro Group's quarterly report.

Benefit from Korea's 5G world's first commercial, Samsung's market share of 5G devices reached 37.8% in the first quarter of 2019, ranking first in the world.
ZTE's market share of 5G devices has been rising since the second quarter of 2019 and is close to Samsung's. Huawei,
Ericsson and Nokia accounted for nearly 80 percent of the global market share in 5G devices in the fourth quarter of 2019, Benefit from the 4G market share of the big three, according to Dell'Oro. Due to the early use of NSA networking, that is, the addition of 5G base stations on existing 4G systems, operators because of consideration of 4G and 5G compatibility from the existing network 4G equipment manufacturers to buy 5G equipment.
With the large-scale deployment of 5G in China in 2020, as well as commercial 5G SA by major operators, this market share ranking may continue to be variable. According to public reports, Huawei had 91 5G commercial contracts, Ericsson 81, Nokia 68, and ZTE 46 by the end of February 2020.
